Counseling Cell
The Counseling Cell of the college is a student-centric support system established to promote the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of students. The cell aims to provide a safe, confidential, and inclusive environment where students can openly discuss academic stress, emotional concerns, personal challenges, and career-related issues. In alignment with NAAC guidelines, the Counseling Cell works proactively to enhance students’ mental health, resilience, self-confidence, and overall personality development, thereby contributing to holistic education and a healthy campus culture.
Objectives of the Counseling Cell
- To support students in managing academic, emotional, and personal challenges
- To promote mental health awareness and emotional well-being
- To foster self-awareness, self-confidence, and decision-making skills
- To create a stress-free, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Functions / Tasks of the Counseling Cell
- Providing individual and group counseling sessions for students facing academic stress, anxiety, or emotional difficulties
- Organizing workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on mental health, stress management, and life skills
- Offering career and personal guidance to help students make informed academic and professional choices
- Identifying students in need of special support and providing timely intervention
- Collaborating with faculty and administrative bodies to promote student welfare
- Encouraging a positive, empathetic, and stigma-free approach towards mental health issues
