The Women Redressal Cell of the college is established to ensure a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive campus environment for women students and staff. The cell is committed to addressing grievances related to harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct, in accordance with UGC and NAAC guidelines. The cell functions with the objective of empowering women, protecting their rights, and promoting dignity, equality, and respect within the institutional framework.
Objectives
- To provide a supportive and safe platform for women to voice their concerns
- To prevent gender-based discrimination and harassment
- To promote gender equality and women empowerment
- To ensure fair and confidential redressal of grievances
Functions / Tasks
- Receiving and addressing complaints related to women grievances
- Ensuring confidential, unbiased, and timely redressal of issues
- Creating awareness about women’s rights, legal provisions, and safety measures
- Organizing workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on gender sensitivity
- Providing counselling and support to aggrieved women
- Coordinating with internal committees for appropriate action
- Maintaining records and submitting reports as per NAAC requirements
